Lifting of Water Ban

The water ban notice published on August 11th is now lifted.

Notice is hereby given to all citizens of the Village of Hemmingford that the water ban published on August 11 is now lifted.

Although the water ban is lifted, the Municipality wishes to remind its citizens that the usual watering rules, as stated in article 7.2.1 of By-law 265 is still in effect.

« Article 7.2.1 :

Watering lawns, hedges, trees, shrubs, or other plants using removable sprinklers or porous hoses is permitted only after 8 p.m. and for no more than one hundred twenty (120) minutes.

It is also strictly prohibited to water lawns, flowers, or gardens on a rainy day, subject, however, to any other restrictions that may be enacted by regulation or resolution of the Council in this regard. »

The Municipality thanks all citizens for their collaboration and invites residents to continue using this natural resource in a responsible way.
